If the UCF Knights want to roll with the big dogs then let them

This weekend, I will be watching the UCF Knights vs. Cincinnati Bearcats game, as it is the Knights only ranked opponent to this date during this College football season.

Many in the UCF Knights fan base are claiming that the Knights can go toe-to-toe with Top 4 playoff teams Alabama Crimson Tide, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, or even the Georgia Bulldogs, who sit just one rank shy of being in the College football playoff.

<a data-snax-placeholder="Source" class="snax-figure-source" href="https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.underdogdynasty.com/platform/amp/2018/3/19/17136994/even-alabamas-athletic-director-greg-byrne-cant-stop-talking-about-ucf-knights-national-champion" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.underdogdynasty.com/platform/amp/2018/3/19/17136994/even-alabamas-athletic-director-greg-byrne-cant-stop-talking-about-ucf-knights-national-champion</a>

Whether the UCF Knights can compete with these teams has yet to be tested because the Knights have not faced a worthy team since their Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl win against the Auburn Tigers.

<a data-snax-placeholder="Source" class="snax-figure-source" href="http://www.espn.com/college-football/team/schedule/_/id/2116" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">http://www.espn.com/college-football/team/schedule/_/id/2116</a>

The way the committee, as well as other die-hard College football fans see the UCF Knights, reflects comparison of a parent that holds a child back from making decisions for themselves because they see the child as being incompetent. I hope that makes sense.

After seeing the Tweet below by CFB Home it is obvious that many others would agree with that, but part of me would love to see an arrogant team like the UCF Knights get demolished by an elite team that sits in the Top 4. If they think that they can roll with the big dogs then let them! Throw them inside of the cage and let us see how they fair up because that win over the Auburn Tigers has sure made them arrogant.

After all the UCF Knights are in the NCAA record book as co-national champions with the Alabama Crimson Tide for the 2017 season.

  1. It’s going to take Nebraska a couple of years before Frost can get them going. That broken leg on Milton for UCF was crucial. I don’t think UCF can win the conference championship now.

    • I cannot wait to see Nebraska get rolling because we need a Big Ten team that could hang up there with Ohio state. It’s tiresome seeing them dominate for so many years.

  2. They looked good against Cincy tonight. The only way that UCF gets into the playoff is for Michigan, Ohio State, Washington State, and Notre Dame to lose. Unfortunately, UCF’s run is over this season with many of their players being seniors now.
