4th ODI: Can Pakistan Make It 4-0, Or Sri Lanka Will Strike Back?

Today, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are again facing each other, competing in the 4th game of 5-match-series of ODIs while the venue today is Sharjah (UAE). The Lankan captain won the toss yet again, elected to bat first again and; apparently failed to make an ‘Impact’ again.

That’s true, as right now 35 overs of the Sri Lankan innings have been completed and they are 132 for the loss of 7 wickets; with only HDRL Thirimanne showing some fightback and contributing 52 well-fought-off runs (with the help of 4 boundaries). With him is A. Dananjaya, a promising left-handed all-rounder, who is currently 15 not-out.

With the current run-rate, Sri Lanka can still reach beyond 200+ (4.02/over) and if Thirimanne continues with his fight back; the end result could be beyond Pakistan’s expectations. Let’s wait and see where the Lankan’s effort may take them in the end but if they failed to reach beyond 250 or so; Pakistan will have a tremendous opportunity to make it 4-0 today; and further frustrate the already frustrated Sri Lankan XI.

So far, Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan have claimed 2 wickets each.
