Major General Nigar Johar has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General after which she has become the first female officer to be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.
According to ISPR, Lieutenant General Nigar Johar has been posted as Surgeon General of Pakistan Army. She thus became the first three-star officer in the history of the Pakistan Army, as well as the first female officer to serve in the rank of Surgeon General.
Lt. Gen. Nigar Johar belong to Panjpai, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Lt. Gen. Nigar Johar is currently serving as Commandant Military Hospital, Rawalpindi.
