Second Wyoming man files lawsuit against Monsanto

source

Earlier this week, a second person from Wyoming has filed a lawsuit against Monsanto.  The person had used the weed killer Roundup, which is manufactured by Monsanto, from 2009 to 2018.  After only spraying Roundup on his lawn for nine years, he was diagnosed with cancer.  Using the weed killer caused for him to contract non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

The main active ingredient in Roundup is a chemical called glyphosate.  Glyphosate destroys weeds, but has also been proven to be carcinogenic.  Although Monsanto knew that their product would cause cancer, Monsanto chose not to place any warning labels on the bottles of Roundup.  Due to this negligence, over 18,000 lawsuits have been filed from all over the world against Monsanto.

Lawsuits filed from Wyoming against any corporation is very surprising because Wyoming is known for being pro-business throughout the years even though corporations have taken advantage of them.

    • Thanks for bringing that name up because I had never heard of him. He was one of the first celebrity lawyers in US history. Fortunately, I have finally heard of a lawmaker in the US that has actually created legislation against Monsanto. The info will be in my next post tomorrow once Virily sends it through.
