Red squirrel

Eurasian red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris).

It was very hot on Sunday and after about 4 hours of walking in the park, I decided to sit on a bench and smoke a cigarette in peace.

I was hoping to meet a bird before they emigrated south, but nothing!

Only the three species of tit known to the region, two species of woodpeckers and nothing else…

And they all hid either in the thick branches or high in the trees. There was no point in taking pictures – nothing will be seen in the picture.

So, while I was resting and dreaming of teleporting, something rustled above my head.

Here this squirrel began to eat from these leaves. Maybe it’s some fruit – I have no idea.

I took walnuts out of my bag, but she didn’t want to come and take them.

Apparently she was scared or …

This is my only photo of the day.
