For several days, I’d been keeping an eye on the Iris in our front yard and waiting for it to bloom. While I was finally rewarded, it’s still a bit shy about opening up it’s petals. At least we got some sun today, it had been kind of cloudy and dreary all weekend. The Iris really has some wonderful colors, so many different, subtle, shades of purple. The first picture is probably my favorite, but the sun really does bring out the flower’s colors.
