I dug up some photos from my archives and this is a Beach in Beachlands – a South East Auckland Beach. Beachlands is out of the way but it has been established for a while and a nice place to live in.
This belongs to a public park, free and open to the public.
The tree by this seat is a Pohutakawa tree and often you see the roots out of the ground on beaches of New Zealand. It has often weathered many rough storms, wind, rain, hail and sea.
For me this place is very romantic
Thanks Elenka, its a place for someone to sit and watch the waves.
What a great scene, would love to be there.
Thanks so much Carol, yes its great being there.
I think it must be quite calming to look at the water while sitting on that bench…
Thanks Tzwrites it is calming and a peaceful place.
Such a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the view.
Certainly is Ellie, thanks for your kind comments.
It looks like a very resilient tree!
Thanks Paul, a Pohutakawa tree is very tough and resilient.
