Mexican Spinytail Iguana (2007-04-14 09-48-18a)
The iguana was on display at the Chicago Herpetological Society ReptileFest 2007.
I used a Panasonic DMC-FZ50 camera to take the photo. Then I used Affinity Photo to replace a rather chaotic background with a sky from the Uplift Epic Skies collection (#25). Afterwards I lowered the brightness a bit, boosted the contrast and vibrance a bit and lastly opened up the shadows.

Thank you for sharing this image of the iguana.
You’re welcome. I’m glad you liked it.
That’s an awesome work!
Thanks, Ellie. I appreciate it.
I hate iguanas. Just the mention of them gives me goosbumps.
Why? They only have nice things to say about you. 🙂

What a handsome fellow. I love iguanas. I have a photo taken at the zoo. My iguana is green. I might make a gallery of some of the iguanas I have taken photos up but I have no idea what kind they are. Maybe someone can tell me. Thanks for the idea.
There are several different species of iguanas. The mst common on it the Green Iguana which sounds like the one you have the photo of. Interestingly, there are also blue and red versions of the Green Iguana which have been bred by reptile enthusiasts. One of my daughters has a red one as a pet.
Great post and photo, thank you for sharing!
Thank you very much.
I love watching these Iguana’s. They are so cool. Thanks for sharing the great photo Gary!
One of my daughters was in Cancun in December and found one of these guys by the pool. Unfortunately she didn’t bring it home.
Oh wow that would have been so cool.
