North Dunes Nature Preserve
Illinois Beach State Park (North Unit)
Zion, Illinois (Lake County)
Nikon Coolpix P7700
Editing was done using Luminar Flex. I used the Luminance tab in the HSL filter and adjusted the following colors: Yellow +60, Green +60, Aqua -10 and Blue -50. Then I used the Luminance tab in the Black & White Conversion filter and adjusted the following colors and settings: Red -30, Yellow +100, Green +100, Cyan -70, Blue -50, Magenta -50, Contrast +20 and Clarity +20. Lastly I used the Saturation tab on the B&W Conversion filter to raise the blues to 100. In other words, the parts that aren’t blue are fake black and white infrared.

Thanks, Pamela. True. It was not a day to go for a swim.
Stunning contrast with the blue, very nicely done.
Thanks. I saw a video talk about the technique and I thought I’d give it a try.

Thanks. I appreciate it.
So beautiful and rather chilling! It’s a great cool off for the summer heat.
Thank you. I wasn’t going to add the blue at first but I didn’t think it was as interesting without it.
Been there, love it great picture Gary!!!!
Thanks. I like the area a lot. My wife and I try to get up there when we can.
