House sparrow (Passer domesticus).
It is found on all continents! Inhabits all types of buildings. He searches for food on the land and on the trees.
It feeds on seeds, fruits, small invertebrates, insects, human food residues.
In the second half of the 20th century, the number of house sparrows declined due to the change in the type of buildings, the decrease in the usual food for the species, etc.
Before the meeting, a large flocks of these birds. Now their numbers are 20 – 30 birds each.
I have a bad feeling that these birds will become an endangered species!
No problem in New Zealand we have these in abundance.
