Eurasian nutcracker (Nucifraga caryocatactes).
The length of its body is about 32-35 cm, slightly smaller than a dove.
Its plumage is dark brown, streaked with small white specks except feathers on its wings.
It is found in the coniferous forests of Europe and Asia. In Bulgaria they are usually found high in the mountains.
Here is a clip of how to shoot a Eurasian nutcracker.
Otherwise, they are greedy like all birds 🙂
But apparently they are really hungry now, because they usually hide food, and now they just eat!
Yes! You, Georgi Tsachev, are the real Birdman!
Thanks! They, the birds, don’t expect much from us except a handful of nuts…
great picture pal! is that snow in the bottom picture?
Photographs taken at Aleko, Vitosha Mountain (1820 m).
If there is no snow, they find food and do not come so close to people.
fair enough, awesome picture!
