Current coronavirus stats

Here are the current statistics on the coronavirus outbreak.

So far, there have been 44,730 confirmed cases of people having the coronavirus in China.  Unfortunately, 1,114 of the confirmed cases in China have passed away.

Outside of China due to travel, 397 have confirmed cases of coronavirus.  Unfortunately, one person out of these confirmed cases has passed away.

Although the coronavirus causes pneumonia, only 2.5 percent of the cases in China has died.  Outside of China, the percentage goes down to 0.2 percent.

Why is the percentage in China significantly higher than the percentage throughout the rest of the countries on this planet?  Let me know your answer in the comments.

  1. This corona virus is a serious threat to humanity … yesterday I watched on TV that it could affect 60% of the total population … it is not yet in our country but it is already very close … I do not know the reason why so many people die in China. … they may be less resilient

    • For some strange reason, some people in China love to eat different types of animals like bats and pangolins that can transfer viruses to people. Also, China has some of the worst air pollution in the world too. Only India has worst pollution than China.
