Another bird that walks along the shore and hunts for crustaceans…
In my previous post Spotted redshank this bird is seen in the background.
In Bulgarian her name is “Running on stilts”. All this because of the disproportionately long legs with which he walks in the shallows.
This bird is young. The adults have black wings and the head of the male birds is black.
This is a protected species and is in the Red Book!
Look at those long legs.
Like stilts. It looks a little ridiculous in a shallower way 🙂
