This is a photo of a New Zealand Fantail on Tiritiri Island in 2014.
The Fantail is one of the most differcult birds to take photos of, it is fast and unpredictable. It flies like a helicopter.
Yet it is very endearing and friendly. A curious bird, and often when he looks at you he is snatching small bugs mid air.
Love how that wing is dropped. He looks very peaceful in this.
