In those hot days, I also walked along the beautiful river Ljubljanica. The river runs through our capital Ljubljana. The Ljubljanica River has always been a navigable river. They carried loads and people. Nowadays transport of goods is no longer meaningful; however, tourist navigation on the river has been revived. Now many boats drive tourists from the river from the city center of Ljubljana to Livade where the Rowing Club Ljubljana is located on the left bank of the Ljubljanica. Animals and plants are also an important part of the Ljubljanica and its surroundings. Different species of fish, birds, etc. live in and around it. The Ljubljanica is also an important natural habitat and a site of archaeological finds. All this is an important reason to take care of our beautiful river Ljubljanica.
