I have been in the shade of agony for awhile. I believe in miracles because it happens to me everyday. I believe in the power of prayers.
This Lenten Season, I want my children to learn how to do penance, simple sacrifices that will mark in their innocent minds how it is done. Limited food, usually fish and vegetables only, limited internet usage same as with gadgets, no schedule for outing and so on and so forth. I tell them stories about the season, how it is commemorated. What happened to Jesus Christ and why there is such thing. I want to instill in their young minds that sacrificing is normal for the one’s we love for them to love the life they are living and they will grow up to have conscience.
I realize that I may not be wealthy but I am very much blessed having a very loving and contented family. My sacrifices are worth seeing my children grow taking.
Pursuing material wealth only shows poverty of heart. I choose to be spiritually rich like you.
May you be blessed more. Teaching our children to be grateful and learning how to make sacrifices when needed is a great act that every parent should do.
Thank you my friend. It’s what I learn from my parents and I am applying it to my children. I want them to grow God fearing.
