It’s so true. Often times life simply turns into a series of habits. When we begin to realize that we have power over habits and we can change them then real growth happens. You begin to design your life with purpose rather than what always has been. I have been challenged to take on the subject and make some major changes in my life. It seem fitting to wind it in here where I am working on goals and daily habits anyway.
Today the goal is to question what I am doing. For example, I do the same thing every day when I get up without fail. It is consistent. The question is am I doing the same thing because it’s beneficial and makes good sense or just because I have done it that way for so long.
I am going to make notes on all my routines and see if they are things that are benefiting myself, my family, my coworkers and aquaintences or if they are simply things that need to change. It shouldn’t be too hard for me to identify the habits and that is where the journey begins to take some detours.
Fine way of explaining, and good paragraph to obtain data…Thanks
The more we understand ourselves the more we follow our purpose in life.
I am not sure how this really works ?
A habit isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s called a routine, as you said. Only if it’s doing harm or is an inefficient way of doing things does it necessarily need to be changed.
My wife does this all the time and says it helps. I am honestly nervous to check my habits at the door.
Let me know how this works, I am curious…
