At first you see an older, mostly helpless man being handcuffed with plastic handcuffs slowing walking to the police vehicle, and the reaction is why on earth would you do that?
Arthur Waskow is not new at protesting and getting hauled off, even very carefully, in handcuffs gives him the publicity he craves to show support for his cause. There is no reason to cry for him. He is making his political point in this manner by choice. He could have protested in many ways and even left when asked. He wanted the optics for his cause. There is nothing wrong with either side. One was breaking the law and one was keeping the peace and all were treated with respect.
Every honor for your country and for all those who enforce the law. I admire you.
It is getting pretty heated here. I wish things would settle down some.
Both sides of the aisle need to learn to act peacefully.
It would be nice if people on all sides could at least agree to disagree.
I have learned to keep quiet if I disagree with what another person likes whether it is a show or musical material.
