The so-called ‘date’ with Fred reminded Nora Linton of another bad date with one Hank, who’d wanted to have ‘Mongolian’ food.
She’d gone with him to the restaurant, he greeted the owners as old friends and ordered his ‘usual’.
She hadn’t a clue what the restaurant served. She tried to understand the menu when Hank had barked; “The waiter is waiting.”
Trying to be nice she said; ” You order for me.”
“You like beef?”
“Yes.” She had replied, then got up as if she were going to the bathroom, but instead went out, jumped in a cab and came home.
Just another bad date, in a series, each horrid in its own way.
