As many people know being a police officer in any part of the world is a twenty four hour job that requires skills to risk their lives to enter a burning building to save someone who is trapped inside of a burning home before the local firefighters come to put out the fires.
Case in point is when the Dartmouth (Massachusetts) Police Department answered the call from a concerned citizen that an elderly man was trapped in the first floor of a two story home on a Saturday night last month.
Now normally the concerned citizen should have called the local firefighters to handle this case since I am just scratching my head why would the police come to rescue someone inside of a burning home?
Dartmouth Police Detective Scott Brooks arrived at the two story home on Johnson Street to do his duty to serve and protect the citizens of his community by entering the home of the residents who live inside the burning home to escort out safely an elderly man who was on the first floor of the building.D
Four children who were inside the burning home were able to escape the burning home before the arrival of the local firefighters who were able to put out the fire.
Dartmouth Police Chief Brian P. Levesque is proud of the work that his detective did by risking his life getting a senior citizen out of a burning home which resulted in no one being injured.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the fire that happened two weeks ago which thankfully resulted in no one being seriously hurt.
