Non-traditional ceiling solutions

White ceilings are slowly but surely becoming a thing of the past. True, white ceilings visually increase the space, but there are plenty of interesting modern solutions for this purpose. Today, ceilings, like walls or floors, are equivalent to serving the design. The design of ceilings, walls, and floors is treated as an integral whole. Most importantly, everything is harmonious and fits each other.

White ceilings are simply boring. So let’s paint them evenly, or fragmentarily matching the colors of the walls. The only warning – if the ceiling in the room is not high, the colors are best to choose brighter than the walls. Otherwise, there will be a feeling of pressure, it will be uncomfortable.
Gypsum cardboard offers great opportunities. It can be used for any idea. It is possible to turn it into an architectural-sculptural work. If the ceiling is low, but we want to paint more bright, there is a solution: to lower the ceilings on the walls, thus creating the illusion of a cupola, and to paint more brightly the sides of the gypsum details in particular.

Another advantage of gypsum constructions is the ability to install hidden lighting in them. Note that in the modern interior, there are plenty of “stairs” in the ceilings, walls, and all the steps can serve and receive the lights. And here the light source itself is no longer important, its light source and its effect, combined with its shape and color, become the most important.
