The Legal Department advised every member of staff to announce that the voting should be closed and the Marketing Department would now select the ‘best’ name from the top twenty entrants.
This was put over the airwaves, so the public would understand that the ‘best’ name would be ‘selected’ from the entrants not the one with the most votes.
On the Date appointed, the televised announcement was made;
“And the name selected for the new drink is…”
