Climate Change Threatens Wheat Harvests

source

Climate change is something that could put a dent in the amount of wheat that is produced around the world.  An average of a two-degree increase in temperature by 2050 would lower overall wheat production by 20 percent.  That means that the world would be five times at risk to experience global famine thirty years from now.

Instead of looking for solutions to inhibit greenhouse gases that create global warming, Bayer uses this excuse to genetically modify wheat.  Instead of seeking to make the environment better for people, they are focused on making sure you obtain cancer from eating their GMO wheat because the less people that are around in 2050, the less chance of famine.  This lack of logic explains why Bayer made the worst business acquisition of the 21st century when they bought Monsanto for $65 billion.
