The tradition of preparing this meal dates back to the 18th century, but it is believed that the preparation of this type of pasta goes back to the past. Interestingly, this pasta was at first food of the poor, prepared mostly without eggs. Over time, the meal became so popular that it was prepared during the feast as a festive meal. Here’s the opportunity to test your culinary skills. Bon appetit !!
We tend to think of pasta as being an Italian thing, but most cultures have it in one form or another…
Yes, every nation has its own way of preparing the paste. And I, too, do it myself at home. I have a device, and I often make homemade pastes for soup, or some other dish. My grandmother, and my mom prepared a homemade pasta, so I do not think the Italians can have an exclusive for paste.
Marco Polo got it from China, so it was never Italian to begin with! Yet somehow we tend to think of it as Italian…
Yes, it’s probably the truth…But, it’s important that it’s tasty …hah.
Where the dish comes from is important, but not as important is whose kitchen it comes from, eh?
