What Men Want film review

At Ali Davis’ friend’s bachelorette party, she becomes acquainted with a medium that, with the help of mixtures of different types of drugs, gives Ali the opportunity to read the thoughts of men.

Ali Davis is a sports agent. She works at the SWM agency. Her colleagues are almost entirely white men (some of them are gay). Therefore, the black woman among them is not too comfortable, she is not even invited to play poker. Ali expects that the head of the agency, Nick Ivers, will make her as a partner, but once again her expectations are not met: they appoint another male and white.

Ali is furious and commits a rash act, she publicly announces that she will sign a client like Jamal Barry, who must be drafted by the NBA under the first number. This task would be difficult, but Ali, meeting with the mysterious clairvoyant, acquires the gift: she can now read the thoughts of men.

Ali invades the world of men that before was inaccessible to her: playing billiards, successful poker bluff, aggressive sex without getting tired. Her business career also promises rapid growth.

At one point, Ali begins to understand: a little more, and her life will fly downhill. Will she cope with new challenges? Will she keep good relations with her friends, will she be able to achieve forgiveness from a beloved man?

It seems everything is beautiful but resembles many American comedies. There are too many stamps that are repeated in many films. And the idea is not new at all. Although you can watch a movie at the weekend. Good black humor is a plus as this is still a comedy film. The film is definitely possible to watch once and smile a little, run away from everyday worries and problems.
