As a parent, I got and have gone to many movies over the years with my children. Some of them I went because my kids really wanted to go. That, I suspect I part of being a good dad. Many of the movies my kids dragged me to were ok, or at least interesting. That sadly is not the case for the Pokemon movie, released in 2000. I took my daughter, nephew, and niece to the movie in the theaters.
I truly tried to like the movie (the kids loved it).
I cannot.
I’ve been posting movie reviews for a few weeks now, all of the previous shared movies were 4’s or 5’s. In part and fairness because I am reviewing the movies that I have truly enjoyed seeing and going to. Now we are starting into the many movies I didn’t like.
I give the first Pokemon movie a 1 out of 5. I would give it a -1 but the kids loved the movie. By the way, the end scene would cause seizures in most people.
I Love this Move. I watch this Move in my childhood Interesting Movie.
I can understand that – I suspect it is an age thing. I was a parent when the movie came out.
Hmm.
Oh yeah, we the parents, have to do a lot of things for kids…so you did well Doc.
Thanks – it was painful
Pokémon is also not my type. Maybe because I was thinking it’s not for my age. Lol. But going with your kids watching such movie is very well appreciated. Only few parents, I mean father do those things because most of them prioritize their work . I salute you for that father gesture.
Thank you so much for the kind words. It can be lonely being a parent sometimes.
