I later googled it on the internet, and it noted that his helicopter crashed in Calabasas, California, where all 9 people had died. His daughter, Gianna Byrant, 13, was with him, and she died with her father. They were travelling to a basketball game. It was also noted that he always travelled by his own helicopter from Newport Beach California to his destinations.

At the theater, while waiting for the show, I googled the crash on my iPhone, and the first article I saw was by TMZ. They seem to know about certain news, reporting it before the networks
