Beatles Nesting Dolls (2012-06-13 11-05-54a)
When the Beatles became popular there were Beatles everything for sale. Not just their records, you could buy fake Beatles wigs, lunch boxes, shoes, clothing, etc. I found these Russian nesting dolls in the window of a shop on Main Street i Galena, Illinois. At first I thought they dated back to the Sgt. Pepper days but they are still being sold on Amazon.Com for about $30 so they probably aren’t that old. The dolls are made in Russia. Based on what I found online, there was supposed to be one more doll with a treble clef on it.
I took the photo using a Panasonic DMC-FZ50 camera. Then I used Luminar 2018 to edit it. I started using the Develop filter to raise the contrast and clarity. Then I added the Accent-AI and Dehaze filters and used the Saturation/Vibrance filter to raise the saturation.

That is so cool. I remember so many things came out when they became popular. There are still people that love listening to their music.
Cool information and photo.
Thank you, LaJenna. They were an accidental find.
very interesting Russian dolls.
Thanks. As a big Beatles fan, they caught my eye.
You know I love matryoshkas
Is that what they are called in Russian?
Da, tovarisch. Obviously a reference to the matriarchal lineage that those dolls represent…
How awesome, the Beatles!! Great find…
I was rather surprised when I tripped across them.
These products are so nice.
Thanks. I am a big Beatles fan so I thought so too.
My late father loves them, too.

I didn’t know such things existed until I found them in the store’s window.
