They can shut some of my favorite run trails down, but they cannot stop me from running in different neighborhoods throughout the city. As for this run, I drove out to Wicker Park neighborhood which is a totally hipster neighborhood. Wicker Park is truly in a league of its own in comparison to the other seventy-seven neighborhoods in Chicago. A cool fact about Wicker Park is that it was ranked #4 by Forbes magazine as America’s best hipster neighborhood. A ranking that listed Williamsburg – Brooklyn, New York as #3; Mission District – San Francisco, California as #2, and Silver Lake – Los Angeles, California as #1.

I have to look and see if I was ever around Wicker park, i don’t recognize the pictures. Looks like a fun run though!
There really isn’t anything in wicker park that will lure visitors to it, other than the restaurants, bars, and the retail stores. If I never moved to the west side, I would not have known about it.
i was all over Chicago for nearly five years. I suspect I went there once or twice. but, also not memorable.
Probably. If you want to spend spend spend on name brand stores and thrift its an actually neighborhood with a lot in it. Hipsters flock to it, mostly to the vintage thrift stores.
pass, both on the hipsters and the upscale thrift stores.
It is pretty congested area at times. I dread driving through Wicker Park in the afternoon because there are vehicles, and bikers that come out of nowhere that you have to watch out for.
i remember that driving in my own neighborhood!
They are the type of bikers that are careless
i have seen that in our negibhorhood
More power to you but stick to rules.
