Don't Pray…

But if you must, don’t pray like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the public street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. Mathew 6.  

A real prayer is a deed of charity, because chanting a whole lot of words, is to claim that God is somehow deaf, which He certainly is not, thus the excess moanings and incantations are quite impervious, simply, because God already knows what you need, and will provide it,  if it is good for your soul. Some of us claim to have read the entire Bible, and some, even several times over, yet when you study their actions, the results are diametrically opposed to what they profess and confess. 

Mathew 6 and Deuteronomy 30, are 2 dangerous chapters and if read, should be undertaken while in a “sober” state of mind. (Eyes wide open) “Skimming” the contents of those chapters can be mortally perilous. Because both directly invoke the full wrath of the Almighty when deviated from. Even reading these few lines I have written, about them and not acting on them could be disastrous.  These few words may be the writings of a raving lunatic and you may indeed be right, since, heaven knows there are enough of those about.

Does God condemn his own creation? 

Yes, he does, with this choice of an offer of life or death, read on…

Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” Nor is it beyond the sea so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it. Deut. 30

See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees, and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. Deut. 30

But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the “Jordan” to enter and possess. Deut. 30 (symbolic)

This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Deut. 30

As I see it, now, as ever before, we should study the contents of those chapters which as a point of departure you will be pleased to know, that you as the writers and the audience you attract through the generally, non-invasive or confrontational content you write on Virily.com are praised for this, within the contents of those scriptural chapters.
