“Can you believe it?” Cathy nearly screamed, “I pay for this big party and he doesn’t even show up?”
“What you expect?” Val shrugged, pouring himself another glass of wine.
“I didn’t think he’d come,” Benjie began, “he’s been really cold since we had that argument five years ago…”
“What argument?” Cathy asked.
“I don’t remember,” Benjie said.
There were so many things he attacked his father for, he couldn’t keep them straight. He reached for the bottle as Val’s wife said;
“I’m hungry where’s the food?”
“I’m not paying for any food!” Cathy shouted, causing others at the restaurant to turn and glare at her and her group.
