Okay, this isn’t Saturday, but it is a challenge from Kim, the #SongSaturdayChallenge. Truth is that it is rare for a day to go by that I don’t have something reminding me of a song. In this case, my wife just brought me in a birthday cake, though my birthday was two days ago. When she did it, I remembered the song Cherish by the Association. It was a hit song for them in 1966 and though I’m dating myself, I remember it well. I also enjoy their clean harmony. Granted, this is an older song, but I still like it.

It is a long-time favorite. Of course, I also loved the “boy-bands” before they were called that. The Association was only one of those bands and I rather like their somewhat unique harmony.
I loved the mix of voices. They brought together harmony and melody!

It is old, but it has been a favorite for a long time.
It is a very lovely song that has been done by many different artists. I enjoyed the version done by my teen idol David Cassidy but of course, the version you provided is excellent
When the Association originally released this, David Cassidy would have been 16. 🙂 His rendition came 6 years after the Association released Cherish, in 1972, and it was his very first hit. He would have been 69 this year if he was still alive.
