One thing I love about Bloemfontein is its rich history along with its landmarks.
In front of the National Afrikaans Literature Museum is the statue of President Francis William Reitz. Now, do you find it a bit strange that an old President is in front of a museum that has to do with Literature? I did at first, until I started doing a bit of research.
Besides being a statesman, politician and lawyer, he was a poet that has shaped Afrikaans poetry. Maybe I will find some of his work when I actually go visit the museum.
You don’t have to be nominated to join in the fun of the #365_Photos_Challenge, just pick up your camera and start posting. Just be sure to read the Rules and Guidelines.
In case you missed my previous entry, you can see it here: Literature Museum
Thank you very much 😉
Very interesting research and photo!
Thank you very much Carol.
A new knowledge for me, Della! Thanks, and for the cool pic as well…
Maybe one day when you visit SA you can come view it too 😉
I will be very happy when the opportunity comes!
Wow! You have been very busy with catching up lol I envy the fast and hard work. I still need a week to put my routine into normal mode.
Hahaha, I am still way behind. Struggling to catch up with everything.
Well I only have one draft left in my page here after that I have no idea how to finish the 365 challenge hahaha but I am enjoying Kim’s color crazy though
I don’t use the drafts. But also running out of ideas lol. I saw the color crazy but didn’t have time to follow that as well yet.
I like it better because it is easier and offers a wider option since it does not have the 7-day old rule for photos. I put everything in my draft page in order to beat that and just submit it one by one hahaha.
