I am continuing with the 365 Photos Challenge and I am now on Day 36. Anyone can join in, you do not have to be nominated. Here are the rules on the 365 Photos Challenge.
This morning I captured another shot of the male Cardinal in my deck feeder. It was 28 degrees this morning so I took the photo through the patio doors. He did not seem to mind as long as he had his sunflower seeds. These Cardinals are such beautiful birds and I never get tired of seeing them. My Dad’s favorite bird. Another reason I love seeing them visit. Enjoy your day!
I have always heard that when a Cardinal visits your yard, it is a visitor from heaven. I believe!
Wonderful capture! They seem beautiful and special birds!
Thanks Ellie, they are indeed special.
Looks like this beautiful bird is always on your side.
As long as I have sunflower seeds out and fresh water, he will visit!
Wow! That’s so interesting
These birds are very beautiful. But unfortunately here they do not meet.
They are indeed a beauty to see, a nice red splash of color!
I saw a cardinal once when on my only trip to the United States, back in 2006. I had a hard job finding anyone who could identify it – it seems that bird knowledge is not all that widespread in the States! (or maybe I was just unlucky!)
Wow these birds are so popular here I am surprised. And it is the state bird of seven states.
I was in Maryland at the time – is that one of the seven?
No it is not on the list: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, N. Carolina, Ohio, Virginia & W. Virginia.
