Yesterday instead of lunch I finished the 3d printer. This image is of the fully assembled printer. Now I have to figure out where to put it. It can’t be on a wobbly or unstable surface as the printer itself moves during the actual translation process (it takes a 3d model and then render it in plastic or other materials). Today’s picture is shared because well there is that sense of accomplishment when you get something done.
This is a double, both my picture (accomplishment) and my initial finishing setup of the Snapmaker 3d printer.
FYI you don’t normally need safety goggles for a 3d printer. This, however, the Snapmaker, also includes a laser carving and a laser engraving module. You do need safety goggles when working with lasers.
Now to pick my first printing project!
