For those of you playing along at home, this is day 235!
Life is a balance. Mechanical problems prevented us from taking the boat out, but we still got to go out for lunch. Gramps café in Annapolis is one of our gathering places before, or after being on the boat. My mother and sister were in town, and for the second year in a row mechanical problems prevented us from taking mom out on the Bay. She says she is the curse! I think it is just bad luck for me.
We ended up wandering Annapolis by car and stopping for lunch. The conversation was lively and one to remember. I guess in the end that is the best part of anything you do. It is never just the destination. Yes, the destination would be a glorious accomplishment. But getting there, that as well as of value.
When you arrive at Grumps, they hand you menus, and they tell you a number. We were number 9 yesterday. It is on the side of the alligator on the table. You remember your number as you wander up and order. Then you find your table and sit down. The person taking your order asks your table number, and they bring the food to you. I think my wife loves the figures on the table!
