365 Day Photo Challenge Day 141

There was a time, back in the Compaq Pocket PC days (it wasn’t even a phone) that I had a lot of adds on for my pocket device. The Compaq PPC, had sleeves, one to add memory, one to add GPS, and one that allowed you to have an air card. That way, you had internet anywhere. I carried all of those connections in a bag that went with me everywhere. Most of what I carried in that bag then, I no longer need. The capabilities of your cell phone are far beyond what we had back then. GPS, wifi, and Cellular data are built into the phones now and don’t require a separate sleeve. That makes the many interesting adds available even more fun! Now you can do things like add on a 360-degree camera or an infrared camera.

The two devices in today’s pictures are such things.

The Seek device is an add-on for my iPhone (you can see the lightning connector) and allows you to take infrared pictures. Nice if you are looking for a lost person, also nice if you need to find out why cold air is pouring into your home. That is actually what I use it for the most. The other is a new 360-degree add-on camera that I am playing with. The evolution of the art of the possible has been an interesting ride.
