I’ll walk

It is not easy to get fit. Most of us who are older and out of shape are looking for a quick fix. I was talking to my husband about a new piece of equipment I thought would be nice. He just shook his head and said, “why don’t you just walk.”  Just walk?

So I pondered the possibilities and decided he was probably right. Then the resistance started. “Where should I walk?” I shouldn’t have said it outloud because he had all sorts of suggestions. It really wasn’t too long utnil he l had listed all the outdoor chores.  Then he topped it of with “just walk around the house with a vaccuum and a duster, every single day.”

It was all starting to make perfect sense. He was simply pointing out the obvious.

So although I would love to sit here and read, type and write, I have some walking that needs to be done.  I have high hopes I may return some day.

  1. One fitness coach used to sell a series of exercise videos wherein she used housework to describe some of the movements. Can’t remember her name. Mandy something, I think.
