the trees – WIP

if you’ve ever been in a forest at night, you’ll know what this piece is all about. even if you haven’t, it should still resonate with your genetic memory. say what? is that even a thing?

#1 original surface – stump

the default settings for this model aren't good at all, but I can fix that

#2 evil tree

this texture works okay for the bark but not so much for the moss

#3 nuther evil tree

this texture works okay for the bark but not so much for the grass

#4 yet another evil tree

this texture works okay for the bark but not so much for the moss

#5 tweak – stump

this puts the WEAK in tweak, since all I did was use the default texture as the bumpmap. that is a cheesy solution, I am going to generate the proper maps in the near future

#6 it is like the evil forest moon of endor up in here!

this whole thing is underbaked...

#7 best evil tree

since there isn't any foliage here, the surface looks okay. I can improve upon it...
