TeleTubbies

Who remembers the preschool television show on PBS called ‘TeleTubbies’?  This was a cute show for very young and young children back in the mid to late eighties and into the nineties, I believe.  I also remember flipping through the channels when I was caring for an Alzheimers’s  patient and she would smile every time she saw the baby’s face in the sun.  If I remember this show it was primarily to teach very young and young children how to get along with each other and learn manners and some very basic academic skills, as in speaking and listening.

I am going to try and do some wordplay on the characters known as the Teletubbies. I think there are four of these characters but can only remember three.

P- is for personable

O- is for opportunities presented.

————————

L-  is for likeable

A-  is for activity

L- is for loyal

A- is for always there.

————————–

T- is for tv

I- is for invents

N- is for nice

K- is for kicky

Y- is for youth

W- is for wild at times

I- is for interest

N- is for nice again

K- is for kind

Y- is for young.

It has been awhile since I have watched this show and I do not think it is actually on anymore.
