Study for Pinkie

When I need to understand how to achieve a certain technique, I generally find a good example and then try to reverse engineer it. This principle is as old as the hills, back when I went to school we called it a master study but I don’t know what they’re calling it now.

At any rate, I’ve always been a fan of the Neoclassical style in general and Gainsborough in particular so I wanted to do a master study of his technique, I hope you enjoy my results.

  3. A master study… Hmmm… something I did not get in design school. In my opinion, with your character and distinctive style still be his soul, your work is beautiful, though it is different from the style of classical painting.
