I made this art piece using Gimp, but that is nothing new.

I made the background a pretty blue and purple gradient. Over that I used the sun ray brush to create the lines. I placed a moon and some clouds over the top of that. Then I placed the black silhouettes over all of that.

It’s all about layering different things. That helps so if you make a mistake you can easily erase it and start again without having to do the whole piece from scratch.
