Just how dark can a dystopian future be if there are hoverboards? I mean, seriously… But how is it possible that in 2017 this technology doesn’t exist yet? Of all the things Back to the Future got wrong, nothing hurts as much as this. In this piece, I’m pretending that the tech not only exists but that it is outdated (because all technology gets old).

Even if hoverboards do get invented, an xtreme sports version would only be a heartbeat away. Desperate corporations would scramble to get their branding out in the most shameless ways possible. Dystopian future, thy name is greed
