The Polar Bear is an acrylic painting done on a 12×12 stretched canvas and finished with a gloss varnish.
This piece was inspired simply by the animal itself. I’ve always found these animals to be very majestic and beautiful. I wanted to create a piece that was overcome by the size of this animal by only painting the face while the body captures the rest of the open space.

Very beautiful and wishful looking bear. I hope their habitat would return to the olden days but I am afraid that it is rapidly shrinking according to all the news reports. But all the same, it remains a magnificent looking animal very well depicted in your painting.
