Moving thru Kashmir – POC

A proof of concept is even rougher than a rough sketch… Think of it as a feasibility study. I could probably make this piece work, but it was mostly done to get an understanding of what I would need to do for a future piece, Passage to Shinjuku. Tanoshimi ni shite kudasai…

#1 proof of concept

Trying out a Blade Runner look with this piece. It is not meant to be taken to completion, just far enough to teach me what I need to learn to capture that particular dystopian vibe without attempting to resolve the work or be concerned with painting myself in a corner...

#2 sign test

If I am serious about doing this sort of world, I will need the ubiquitous neon signage. I still need to isolate the various different surface groups and flay it for Nihongo

#3 rough sketch

If she looks slightly lost and apprehensive, it is only because she doesn't know who she is or where she is going nor can she read the signage which could help her. I suppose we can all relate to her plight right about now...

#4 banner graphic

while it isn't an optimal solution, this works better than most of my attempts to use this aspect ratio
