In this video learn how to remove a stretched canvas from its wooden support bars and then place it in a regular frame used for photos or posters.
This type of framing also works if you are painting on a canvas roll. The loose canvas can just be placed in the frame without having to go through the process of removing it from the wooden support bars.
If you are using a different type of stretched canvas that doesn’t have staples on the back, you could just cut it right off the support bars using an Exacto knife or something similar and then trim accordingly after.
You will need:
-pliers
-flat screwdriver
-scissors
-painter’s tape (optional)
-frame
-painting
