Carol’s latest post reminded me about another useage for the term easter egg. When a developer hides something pointless in their code, it is called an easter egg. Generally, it is the developer signing their work but it really could be anything
I try to include easter eggs in all my games. Betty the Pixel Doll has two that I can remember…
What a cool piece here. I did not know about the other usage of the word! Look at Betty, she’s looking all Easter… and playboy bunny at the same time.
I am overly literal. And yes, when I thought of a bunny that was the first place I went. Shocking, I know…
So they can put whatever they want in their apps, how would we know. Kind of scary.
but easter eggs are benign. like me hiding a tag in a painting. at best, they slightly increase functionality or open a new area…
they can and DO put things in your apps that you don’t know about. apple had spyware on the iphones for years

Yes I do remember this.
