The following artworks are part of my 2017 portfolio. I tend to use oil for landscapes to get detail that makes the piece pop. These landscapes are from photos taken throughout South Florida and rendered using a variety of programs to manipulate the images until I get what I’m looking for. Looking forward to your comments.

The Lily Pad Highway Along the Eastern Lake Shore

Lily pads tend to grow along the eastern shore of the lakes in the area. Koi are the only fish in these garden lakes and can be seen feeding under the lily pads.

We love to visit CityPlace, an outdoor mall with shops and restaurants in downtown West Palm Beach, if not to shop and eat, to just sit and people watch. Better than TV.

The path is for bikes and folks out for a walk. It's called Flagler Bike Path and it extends from the Flagler Museum to the Society of Four Arts along the inter-coastal waters that separates the mainland of downtown West Palm Beach and the island with the Atlantic Ocean on its eastern side.

We don't have the seasons here in South Florida like the northern states do. During the winter, we have shorter days that make for lots of darkness in a state that loves sunshine.
