The photos were taken in Chicago, Illinois after a heavy rain. The water had not yet drained out of the street and there was a thin layer of oil on it.
I used a Nikon Coolpix P7700 with no close-up attachments or filters to take the photos. Then I used Photoshop Elements 12.1 to increase contrast, saturation and strengthen the black areas as much as possible. The same thing was done to each of the photos.
