Old and Historic Buildings

It is probably because I grew up in a house that was built in 1889. I really loved growing up in that home. It will always be a part of me. When I venture into a city I try to find old homes and old buildings to enjoy. Often times when I write I have a picture of a home or building in my head.

#1 Biloxi, Mississippi ~ Founded 1699

This is Biloxi Whitehouse and Visitor's Center. It was named after a native tribe. It was destroyed in a hurricane. They are rebuilding it.

#2 Philadelphia City Hall

Philadelphia City Hall wasn't built as soon as the city was founded in 1682. Of course, it took time to build such a beautiful and historic building. If you ever get the chance to visit I would suggest that you check it out!

#3 Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi

Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francic of Assisi

It made its official debut in 1869.  I love the arches and the bell towers are amazing. You can tell from the coloring it certainly has the flavor of New Mexico.
